  Den Herder Veterinary Hospital has an opportunity for a Receptionist to join our team!    Location: 4041 Hurst Dr, Waterloo, IA 50701 Shift Details: Full-time position. Shifts will include 4 weekdays working around business hours Monday-Friday 8 am-6 pm with rotating Saturdays 8 am-12 pm. During rotating Saturday weeks, one full weekday shift will change to a half-day shift or additional day off. Rotating weekends and some holidays are required.  Compensation: $16.00/hour   Job Summary:  The Receptionist is the first and last contact that a client will have with the hospital and a key to creating first and lasting impressions. The Receptionist must have exceptional client service and communication skills, computer literacy, ability to handle payment and financial issues, ability to multi-task, a friendly attitude and confidence to deal with stressful situations.   Den Herder Veterinary Hospital has an opportunity for a part-time Kennel Assistantto join our team!    Location: 4041 Hurst Dr, Waterloo, IA 50701 Shift Details: Part-time position (less than 30 hours/week), working a variety of shifts weekdays and weekends. Must be available some nights, weekends, and early mornings.    Job Summary: TheKennel Assistant provides daily care, feeding and exercise of boarding and hospitalized animals. The Kennel Assistant also pays close attention to animals’ general health signs such as signs of stress and changes in eating or elimination habits, promptly notifying technicians and veterinarians when a pet needs medical attention. The Kennel Assistantinteracts with clients in person and by phone and e-mail. Proper record documentation and accurate completion of boarding forms and cage cards is critical.
