Job Summary: This position provides leadership and training to the medical support staff in the operation of a small animal facility in accordance with hospital policy and procedures and provides medical care to patients as allowed in the veterinary practice act. The Veterinary Technician will be able to communicate effectively with employees and clients and have great attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Johnson County Animal Clinic and Leawood Plaza Animal Hospital, located in Overland Park and Leawood, KS, are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our amazing team! New grads are welcome to apply and will be joining a collaborative, experienced team. About our clinic: Johnson County Animal Clinic and Leawood Plaza Animal Hospital are both full-service, AAHA accredited small animal hospitals that have been providing exceptional care to the pets of Johnson County for over 40 years. We have built an amazing and loyal client base. Our hospitals are fully equipped with in-house laboratories, digital radiography, endoscopy, as well as digital dental radiography and ultrasound at our Overland Park location. Furthermore, we utilize the services of a traveling radiology technician to perform abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms every Tuesday at Johnson County Animal Clinic. Our doctors perform a variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries, with each patient required to have pre-op lab work, an IV catheter, and IV fluids during the procedure. Most importantly, we have phenomenal, experienced support staff who are crucial to the success of patient and client care. Our doctors have amazing support, with 2 to 3 technicians per doctor! We empower them to do what they are trained to do, which helps our doctors be incredibly efficient. Ideally, we are looking for someone to work at both locations and we can be flexible with the scheduling.
