Uptown Animal Hospital, located in Andersonville on the North Side of Chicago, is looking for a relief veterinarian to help us with specific dates of coverage.   About our clinic: Uptown Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal general practice. Our hospital is well-established in the community and has been serving Cook County since the 1960s. Many of our employees (veterinarians, manager, and support staff) started here 20+ years ago and never left! We are also lucky to be in an affluent neighborhood, so most of our clients are well-educated, able to do full work ups, and follow recommendations.  Our hospital is fully equipped with an in-house lab, digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, and surgery and dental suites. We are adequately staffed with technicians, so all our doctors are supported each day. Andersonville is an incredibly inclusive neighborhood and one of the best places to live in Illinois! It was initially a small village of Swedish immigrants and is still one of the most concentrated areas of Swedish culture in the US. The Swedish heritage is celebrated annually with events like St. Lucia Festival of Lights and Midsommarfest. Clark Street is filled with locally owned shops, restaurants from around the world, antique stores, and coffee shops. Treat yourself to mussels and one of 60+ beers on tap at Hopleaf, stop by the speakeasy, Simon's Tavern, for some seasonal glögg, spiced mulled wine, or grab some freshly baked pita bread, baklava, and a falafel sandwich at Middle East Bakery and Grocery.
